The Story Behind the Brand
Terra del Capo is a brand born of the late Anthonij Rupert’s passion for Italian wines. The brand was introduced for the first time in 1998 and consisted of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and a Nebbiolo/Sangiovese blend, though it has since been refined to include a single-varietal Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese, co-fermented Merlot/Sangiovese blend Arne and an extra virgin olive oil produced at the L’Ormarins estate.
Italian wines are innately well-suited to food, the natural acidity of varietals such as Sangiovese making it almost chameleon-like in its ability to offer itself up as accompaniment to either protein, fat or salt – whichever you prefer. As such we have taken it upon ourselves to curate a library of recipes well-suited to our Italian wines.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
This Extra Virgin Olive Oil has a medium intensity and fruity character. The aroma of fresh green and ripe olives, ripe tomato, walnut and pine seed. The piquancy is balanced and fades to leave a pleasant aftertaste. An extremely well balanced olive oil.
Terra Del Capo Antipasti Bar
The Antipasti bar offers relaxed wine tasting in elegant surroundings. Guests have a bird’s eye view of the activity in the cellar through a glass wall, as well as panoramic views of the vineyards and mountains. The antipasti bar offers a seasonal menu of tapas-style dishes made from freshly prepared local ingredients.
